Kristin and Robbie’s wedding at the historic Thornewood Castle in Lakewood, Washington, was the epitome of regal elegance. The day embraced a princess-core aesthetic, with vintage elements seamlessly woven into the celebration. The bride wore a fully custom gown, featuring elements like a Basque waist, embroidered bodice and ruffles adorning a train fit for royalty. Her cathedral-length veil was also couture, featuring a timeless “true English rose” design steeped in centuries of history, and exclusive to the couture house Monvieve. These thoughtful, showstopping pieces radiated timeless sophistication. Adding to the charm, Kristin wore a vintage nightgown while getting ready, a subtle nod to the romantic, old-world style of the day.
The misty May weather created an enchanting atmosphere as the castle’s gardens were just beginning to come alive for the season. A gentle drizzle and Thornewood’s iconic architecture provided a majestic backdrop, perfectly complementing the event’s regal theme. From the peaceful ceremony in the sunken garden to the elegant indoor reception, every detail of Kristin and Robbie’s wedding was as magical as the castle itself.
