Sean + Jessica | Olympia Engagement Photographer | Janet Lin Photography

I find it somewhat serendipitous that Sean and Jessica grew up in the same town and went to the same elementary, middle and high school, yet didn’t truly connect until adulthood. Love like this is worth waiting for though, and these two make the most of every second they have together.

Their proposal story:

Sean is a journeyman lineman and travels frequently for work. He had been gone for some time restoring power in St. Croix after Hurricane Maria, and planned a special date for the two when he returned. They went to Ricardo’s, a local restaurant they love, where they met with a few of their favorite couples. As they sipped cocktails, more and more of their friends started showing up at the restaurant. Jessica didn’t think much of it at the time; she was just so excited to have her lineman home and enjoyed a fun evening with all of their friends.

It was the first time they’d all been together in a long time so someone suggested that they take a group photo together. As Jessica tried to get everyone ready to say ‘cheese’ she turned around and found Sean down on one knee! She said YES, and in her own words, “ugly cried like crazy.” I’m pretty sure she couldn’t do anything ‘ugly’ if she tried!

Sean and Jessica, I cannot wait for your wedding day!
